National Council of Women of Finland and Finlands Svenska Idrott together with National Broadcasting Company Yle Sport and Hanaholmen – Swedish-Finnish Cultural Centre welcome you to a seminar on leadership, diversity and gender in sport for all interested. The seminar is held September 19th from 10 a.m. (breakfast 9 a.m.) to 3 p.m. in the Cultural Centre Hanaholmen in Espoo and live streaming. The program is in English.
We have guest speakers from athletes to researchers such as Swedish football player Lotta Schelin and Joanna Harper (researcher in transgender in sport and adviser to the IOC). As a guest invited by US Embassy in Finland we will get acquainted with Val Ackerman, Commissioner of the BIG EAST Conference, The founding President of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA).
