The National Council of Women of Finland advocates actively. In our advocacy work, we promote gender equality, women’s status and rights, and the importance of mainstreaming gender aspects and evaluating gender impacts.
Our advocacy work is based on the Council’s strategic policies as well as researched and current information. Together with our member organisations and other stakeholders we closely monitor the progress on gender equality and women’s rights both nationally and internationally.
As an umbrella organisation we represent a wide array of women’s organisations promoting women’s rights and gender equality.
